NSA New Orleans began as a dream in the minds of
the founder of the National Speakers Association, Cavett Roberts,
CSP, CPAE and our first chapter president, Ginger Bondi. In his vision
to establish chapters throughout the United States as a means of building
a support mechanism for those engaged in professional speaking, Cavett
encouraged Ginger to see if she could find enough people interested
in the speaking profession to start a chapter in New Orleans. On a
summer day in 1985, the dream became a reality and NSA New Orleans
was founded.
During the years since our establishment, the chapter
has gone through a variety of evolutions. But, the main focus has
never shifted. Our commitment was and still is to offer those interested
in professional speaking an opportunity to learn about the business
of speaking. Through our monthly meetings, we have offered our members
the opportunity to hear messages from some of the best speakers in
NSA and in the country.
Today, NSA New Orleans maintains the tradition of
high quality programming for its members. Our progress is due to the
many people who have volunteered their time and energy to build the
quality of our chapter. To everyone that has ever played a role in
advancing the ideals of our chapter, we offer a sincere "Thank
You" for all you've done on behalf of our chapter.
