The Power of Music Education

BIOGRAPHY / SERVICE
Craig Cortello, "The Business Musician," is an expert in the correlation between music education and the development of skills, attributes, and insights that provide a foundation for successful business professionals.

Business
In business, Craig served as National Sales Manager of Trinity Consultants, a successful environmental consulting firm that served Fortune 500 industrial accounts. The firm grew from $12 to $40 million in annual revenues and from 9 to 25 offices in the U.S. and China during his tenure.

Music
An accomplished musician, Craig's original songs have been featured on radio, television, and the stage. As a writer he covers the jazz beat for the New Orleans monthly entertainment publication Where Y'at magazine and has interviewed such New Orleans music icons as Pete Fountain, Ellis Marsalis, Jr., and Henry Butler. His articles on the subject of business creativity have been featured in Convention Forum and Industrial Engineer magazines.

It is Craig's unique understanding of successful business development principles, of the power of music education, and of creativity and innovation that make him an ideal speaker for both corporate and academic audiences.

Craig has developed and presented corporate training programs integrating sound business principles linked to specific work challenges with music, role play, and team-building activities to produce entertaining, high-impact sessions acclaimed by participants and managers alike.

He is also a member of Rotary International and the Jazz Journalists Association. He lives in the metropolitan New Orleans area, a wonderfully spirited and resilient community with his wife Kim and his son Michael.
