Bio
Billy Arcement MEd—The Leadership Strategist has been a member of NSA since 1980. He is a charter member of NSA New Orleans chapter and has served the chapter in many capacities—Board of Directors, Treasurer, President, and Mentor to many. His contributions to the chapter were recognized by the 2003-04 Board of Directors when they named the chapter leadership award in his honor.
Billy began his professional career as a secondary science teacher and coach. After six years, he left the teaching profession to pursue a career in the immerging chemical industry. For the next 32 years he worked in this industry, 27 of those years in several senior corporate management positions with oversight of safety, environmental, quality and technical/customer service. While serving in these various management positions he returned to his first love—teaching— by joining NSA and building his business on a part-time basis for 20 years. During these same years, he was elected to and served 12 years on his local school board achieving the highest leadership position as State President of the Louisiana School Boards Association.
In 2000, he began a full-time professional speaking and consulting business. As an author, Billy has written over 300 articles and newsletters, two books, Searching for Success and Journeying on Holy Ground. He currently has two new books in the works that will initially be released in E-book format, the fastest growing segment of the publishing industry.
Billy has shared messages in Beijing China, Hong Kong and for business and education leaders throughout the United States.
No matter the role-informative keynote speaker, seminar leader, meeting facilitator, executive coach, or leadership consultant, clients and their attendees are given techniques to turn knowledge into results.
